The service

Hedge Row is a free email newsletter and website with published agricultural market data: cash prices, basis, USDA reports, crop and livestock statistics, input costs, rates and historical comparisons. There is no charge and no account. By subscribing or using the site you agree to these terms.

Not investment advice

Hedge Row is for information only. It is not investment, trading, hedging, marketing, legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any commodity, futures contract, option or other instrument. We publish historical and current facts only and do not make forecasts. "Historical perspective" sections describe what happened after similar dates in past years; past outcomes do not predict future prices. We are not a registered commodity trading advisor, broker or investment adviser. Talk to a qualified professional before making marketing or hedging decisions; you are responsible for your own decisions.

Accuracy

We take figures from public sources and check them, but data can be late, revised, incomplete or wrong, and we can make mistakes. Where data is missing we say so. Check important numbers against the original source before you act on them. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

Data sources and attribution

Most data comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (National Agricultural Statistics Service, Agricultural Marketing Service Market News, Foreign Agricultural Service, Economic Research Service, Office of the Chief Economist). USDA data is in the public domain. USDA does not endorse Hedge Row. We also use the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the U.S. Treasury, NOAA's National Weather Service, the U.S. Drought Monitor and the Federal Reserve Board. Each issue names its sources. These organizations aren't responsible for our use of their data.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Hedge Row and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage, including trading losses or lost profits, arising from your use of or reliance on the service.

Use of content

You may forward an issue or share it for non-commercial use with attribution to Hedge Row. Please don't republish it in bulk or resell it.

Changes and ending the service

We may change or stop the service, or these terms, at any time. Changes are posted here with a new effective date. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any issue.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa.
